Today’s progressive organizations are rapidly embracing “corporate social responsibility” (CSR), taught in most business graduate schools. Employees' levels of satisfaction and engagement parallel their ethical behavior at work. To that effect, on-site wellness clinics are fast becoming the difference makers for successful corporations.

The wear and tear on “human capital”, unlike that of equipment and buildings, is insidious and goes largely unnoticed until it is too late. The self-perpetuating cycle of stressdisabilitiesdissatisfactiondisengagement is costing American corporations in excess of three hundred billion dollars annually.

Many large studies have proven the relationship between employees’ states of wellness, satisfaction, engagement and ethical behavior on one hand, and the organization’s bottom line and long term success on the other.

On-site clinics offer several solutions:

  • Work injuries can be quickly assessed.
  • Health risk factors such as poor nutrition, lack of exercise, obesity, hypertension and diabetes can be managed with ongoing support.
  • Presence of on-site support systems greatly enhances employees’ satisfaction, engagement and their sense of “belonging” and loyalty. Employees feel their company genuinely cares about them.
  • Disability days, job absenteeism and "presenteeism" are reduced.
  • Doctor visits and medication use are lowered.
  • * Wellness is promoted by addressing physical health, mental and emotional health, healthy relationships with co-workers, family and friends, healthy social relationships and healthy finances.
  • * By applying well researched diagnostic tools, stress, satisfaction and engagement levels are continuously monitored, managed and improved upon. Treatments are focused on problem areas.

 * Unique features of PreventionCare’s on-site clinics.

In summary, employees are healthier, happier, more satisfied, more engaged with the company and more “fit for business”. In turn, the organization enjoys more efficiency, enhanced customer satisfaction, reduced disability leaves and claims, lower absenteeism, less employee turn over and law suits, higher ethical standards, increased productivity, improved financial performance and better shareholder value.
